After a three week intensive training camp, the BU men’s football team hit the road to play Acadia University in Wolfville, N.S. on Aug. 27. The Gaiters pulled off a well-earned 13-5 win in this season opener game. Marco Briones earned the Subway Player of the Game award, and David Chaloux scored the only touchdown of the game.

The football team then went on to play Mount Allison University in Sackville, N.B. on Sept. 3. After a hard-fought game with 31 penalties resulting in 215 yards, the Gaiters fell short, losing 18-15 to the Mounties.

The football team is now preparing for their home opener against St. FX Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. on Coulter Field. Wear as much purple as you can to show your support for the Gaiters as they tackle their 2022 season. Also, be sure to mark your calendars and tell your friends about the rest of BU’s home games this fall and help us cheer on all of our wonderful student athletes!
