Join us this Halloween in designing your own scary, ghostly or saintly costume at the BU Halloween DIY on October 25th in the Diversity Centre and let’s get back to the tradition, since that is what a holiday is really meant to be.

Many students are interested in volunteer work. In the past few weeks, many groups have stopped by to hand out pamphlets with the exception of The World School. Bishop’s students, Brendan Montima and Olivia Angood-Hardy, started a group on-campus. The group is currently in the process of being recognized by the government as an official non-profit organization.

“I am trading games for rare hats.” Now, taken out of context, one may suspect an antiques salesman trying to make a quick buck and punish his son at the same time. However, the situation is even more peculiar than this particular scenario. Enter Team Fortress 2, a class-based online shooter developed and distributed by Valve, creators of renowned PC titles such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike.

To start it off, I know Thanksgiving has left us all a little high and dry and craving more delicious uber healthy feasts, so I have started off this issue with one of my favourites; The Ultimate Bacon Bowl (For those hardcore vegetarians).

New Plays has run its course again this year and the plays have surpassed the last three years in terms of first-year talent and quality of writing. Upon reflection of years past, this year trumps all.

It’s almost here. Turkey leftovers are being eaten, midterms are being written, coloured leaves are falling. Along with all of this, those few days that Bishop’s students look forward to starting every November 1 are just around the corner... Halloween!

How many of us have read or heard about the dreaded “Freshman 15?” I know I've heard some of my friends working out elaborate plans to avoid gaining weight, including running around Lennoxville or going to the Sportsplex. However, it's possible to become too obsessed with your weight and develop a serious health problem.
